Getting the right machine to a tight site
- Garden and extension work: a micro or 1.5 ton digger with the track dumper.
- Driveways and paths: a 3 ton digger, 3 ton swivel dumper and a Bomag 80 roller.
- Larger groundworks: a 5 or 8 ton digger with a 6 ton dumper.
- Breaking out: breakers for micro to 8 ton diggers.
Working in north Hertfordshire
- Letchworth Garden City: many outside changes in Letchworth, such as new driveways, extensions and removing hedges, need consent from the Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation as well as any planning permission. Check before the digger arrives.
- Chalk ground: around Royston and Baldock the ground is chalk with flints. It digs cleanly but is hard on buckets, and a breaker helps with larger flints and old foundations.
- Older town centres: Hitchin’s older streets are narrow, so tell us where our lorry can stop to unload.
